I threw away all of my plastic spatulas, because they were black, and I discovered that black plastics have dangerous chemicals that are activated by heat. These are silicon, not plastic, so I could have gotten them faster in black. But the red are so pretty!I've already recommended this brand to several people IRL. The feel is great. The flex of the spatula tips is good for the use, the variety of sizes is great (the narrow one will get jam out of a jar!), and the utensils combine a sense of strength (like a metal shiv, but encased by the silicon) and softness and flexibility. I find them well balanced.I have a red Faberware spoon I bought because D'Oro was backordered, but it's just not ... nice. These are unfailingly nice. Now I just have to convince myself to replace the spoon I bought. :-(WARNING: The D'Oro do not have the biggest handle, so if your dexterity really requires more grasping, this would not be the right choice.
