My shower first every re-tile project of my shower was a nightmare. Won't go into details. The gaps at the corners were large, not super large, but large and the tiles had some pretty bad lippage. But I was able to take the silicone sealant and apply so that it appeared acceptable if you didn't look to close. Without these tools (and the knowledge base provided by YouTube) it would have been so much worse. The photos I include show where I had to hand touch up some of the silicone. So these are the worse views, but the key is, the shower is sealed!
