Pretty. Wish more of them had the beautiful swirling of olive wood. Only one is super pretty. I immediately wash them by hand with a cloth,dawn and hot water then dry well with towel and put into a utensil holder on the counter so they dry even further. I use them every night, and the wood doesnt show any sign of wear. Today June 10,2021 was the first time I felt they could use some oil made for wood utensils and cutting boards. I will follow with the wax that is from the same company. The utensil with the flat silicone (not sure what that's called) has only been used a couple times and also washed by hand but it shows some signs that it won't last long. That's disappointing. Silicone item's usually take a major beating before showing signs.Over all pleased with purchase. I would like more for my collection and hopw the grain is pretty. I understand that each is different, but some olive wood is stunning!I love everything about them. They are beautiful and sturdy!I cook on a daily basis, so having equipment that looks good, is a good value, and functions well is important to me. I was in the market to upgrade my kitchen utensils. I was looking for pieces that were made of olive wood, and silicone, that were well made, that would last, and that were attractive. This set filled the bill. Before deciding to purchase this set, I checked the websites of William Sonoma and Sur La Table. I would have paid the same price for one piece, on these other sites, that I paid for the entire five-piece set that I ultimately purchased from Amazon. I could not be happier with the purchase. I expect I will be using this set for many years to come.When I first took these olive wood utensils out of the box I was very happy. I loved the look of the wood grain and the color was beautiful. However after I hand washed them for the first time (I use Seventh Generation soap, so nothing too harsh), the wood instantly became super dry looking. The beautiful pattern on the slotted spoon somehow disappeared and looked like I had been using them for years. Not happy, returning this item.I bought these really liking the way they look, I liked the look of the olive wood. When I got them they all looked great but 1 of then isn't olive wood! This was a disappiontment.We bought these for their good looks, but they also function quite well.So worth it- I went to William Sonoma but it would have cost hundreds - I am so happy I found these for 1/10 th the price!The spatula handle developed a crack and will surely split soon. Very Disappointed
