I bought 4 rolls of 78.7x24 to cover the countertop. The counter installer told me to cover the area around the sink and cooktop to prevent damage. My counter around these areas is 70-73" x 24.5. The length of this roll is perfect and covered the entire area. you can remove them when not in use.I use rotary cut when cutting it to fit. it gave us peace of mind, not worrying about anything accidentally dropped on the counter.I do a lot of different kinds of crafts and need something that will last. So far it's great. Cleans up easy. Thicker then the other mats I have purchased. Longer then any I have seen. Enough for my work area and enough leftover for my husband's work area. Worth the money.This should be a standard I am in every kitchen. I had never seen one of these until recently when I was at a friends house. In my own kitchen, I use this for absolutely everything. I’m a big fan of protecting the surface of my countertop and table. I’ve used trivets, cork, placemats, and dish towels to protect my investment of countertops and my furniture from daily use and abuse. But this silicone mat is like all the former combinedI use it to set my hot lids on. It’s a great place to set your slow cooker lid or your pressure cooker lid and not have to worry about damaging your countertop.I also use it when I’m baking. When I’m using food coloring‘s or rolling out dough my silicone mats and laminate stains to my countertop as well as allow me too quickly can’t clean up the countertop so that I can be ready to use it for something else like preparing dinner.It also works great underneath my chopping block and my mixing bowls. When I’m using things like that it also becomes a great place to put my cooling racks and large baking items on.Not only is this perfect for that countertop but we also use it on dining table. It works to protect the dining table from all sorts of things from scratchy stoneware to crafts with glue guns.These are very large. However they roll up and don’t take very much room in my cabinets whatsoever. Definitely a great investment with very little space sacrificed. They wash up nice. They are long and a little awkward sometimes in the sink, but nothing really sticks to them so they wash up very quickly. The only thing that surprises me is that I have never seen anything like these before. In fact I know I’m not the only one because people are always asking me what they are when they come over to my house. I think the versatility and cost of these mats definitely has to put them in what I would consider to be a standard necessity item for every kitchen.Great cover for my baker’s rack where I keep my pressure cooker, food processor, and mixer. These are easy to clean up and can handle hot pots. They are a nice heavy duty may that I was able to cut to size.I used it to line the top of a outdoor camp kitchen. A two burner camp stove and portable grill sat on top of the mat. In 10 days of use, it didn't deform and kept the equipment from sliding.
